Seesaw

This is project 1: "Balance". I divided the cube twice and made a composition with the three pieces. It has movement and it looks like all the pieces are together.

In this step of the Balance project, I made a composition using the 3 pieces that I obtained by dividing the cube. The dominant and the subdominant forms are face to face. We can understand they came from the same bigger piece from the way their surfaces are shaped.

In the third composition that I made for the Balance project, I established a subtle balance. The biggest form is not the dominant form because of the negative spaces. Small form looks heavier than the big form. Due to the play between the visual balance that I worked with in this design, I named it: Seesaw.

The division

I choose one of my three designs and I divided it into sections which are placed 1 cm intervals.

I made the same

composition with sections from different materials. I used photo block and chopsticks.

Movement Project

Rolling in the deep

This projects name is: "Rolling in the Deep". Here I want to tell that a circle is rolling down due to gravity and this power is creating movement. I made this composition with ropes.

I add more ropes on the slow part, beginning and end to make it appear faster and so that we can visualize the movement in a clearer way.

I filled the negative spaces with new parts. These new parts are added in order to create unity. There were 3 separate parts but now they are one big, continuous composition. It has a part that is high, a part that is low and again a part that rises. It's like a jumping ball.

I made a track like a train rail and I added railing on the curve where it bends. There is a stop point at the end for the ball to stop moving once it reaches that point.

Color Project

Chaos

This is color project and I make printmaking and printed it, on a poster.

I made a 10x10 module which I repeated

throughout the poster. I used

flipping and rotating

methods in order to form the pattern. First I used blue and I added some yellow in each line to change the color throughout the poster. I didn't lighten too much because I didn't want to make it like too colorful. It looks psychedelic,

confusing because of the dark color but at the same time calm, and peaceful which is why I named this project: Chaos.

This time I carved the linoleum and used the negative space to make my pattern. This pattern can continue all over the poster because all squares unite with other squares. This time I didn't lighten the color because of the pattern.

I want to ensure continuity on the whole poster. I want to make this poster more energetic and active therefore, I used red. I used flip and rotate technic to multiply my pattern. This project looks like a man walking on sand and you can see his footprint.

Mellon

In my color project I chose civilisation which is from the Lord of the rings. I combined Gandalf’s and Saruman’s staff and Gimli’s walking axe. They usually organic forms. Then give importance to these appearance. I start with top of Gandalf's staff

In second step I part of Saruman’s staff and Gimli’s walking axe. I combined these object because these objects can tell about movie. It have characteristic features.

In final model I made some changes. I refine top of model. I made skeleton with wood stick, I extend bottom to connect with top because I want to continuity in whole model. I paint with glue then I paint this color. I print my pattern. I did my pattern from Rohan’s horse hair and royal crown. I pick my colors from movie poster. Top of staff I use small part of my pattern. Both model and pattern reflect it's civilisation perfectly. I give this project name "Mellon". Meaning of Mellon is "friend" in elf language. In first move they opened secret door with making spell and they said mellon.

Final Project

Spinae

First i made 20 small stool model. I did like randomly. I did different kind of stool and different principles like some folding, some of them with just one material. Then I chose 2 model and ı continue with these models. I chose these because they are same principle and they have organic form.

I start to mskr some changes on small models because when you enlarge any object it loses its

resistance. Then I add some part to give it a strength. I look my moodboard to find ideas

I made a mood board with similar to my stool

structure. First I look stools. Then I look my body. Its strengh come with 2 material. Bones and muscle. Just bone or just muscle cant hold us on stand. But when it come together it become so powerfull. After body I look old object Tatar Mongolian bow. This bow made by 2 different tree. One strong inelastic tree and one soft and flexible tree. This bow is about 50-60 cm long but it made powerfull as English bow. Englisg bow 200 cm but made by one tree. I made more research and I learned plane body inspired by Tatar bow.

This is opened state. As you can see on the middle part they are so close to each other to carry rack on. It works like spine. Vertical sticks connect with horizontal sticks and they support each other. All sticks paste on eva. Eva is like sponge.

When we pull the rope and locked . stool can use. You can sit like what ever you want but healty seat is like horse style. It will be in the right and left legs in the form

This is technical drawing of my stool. This stool is lighter than 500 gr but it can carry 100 kg
